hindi ko alam kung OT ito pero share ko lang...

regarding sa mga CSR at TSR or call center job... naku!!! wag niyong mamaliitin ang mga nag wowork sa call center. hindi madali ang pag sagot ng call at makipag usap sa ibang tao lalu na kapag irate ang kausap niyo. tyaga ang puhunan dito! at isa pa, yung mga top call centers dito sa pinas ay hindi tumatanggap ng mga bobo. siyempre mei standards silang sinusunod. hindi lang sila basta basta tumatanggap ng mga magiging agents nila. kailangan ng utak pag sa call center ka mag wowork. kaya huwag magbitiw ng salita na pang tamad at bobo lang ang call center.

before i graduated from mapua, i worked as a CSR at one of the top call centers in the philippines (parlance e-pldt). 19 years old lang ako nung nag apply ako diyan. yung mga kasabayan kong nag apply, halos lahat mei mga experience na as agents. pero halos lahat sila hindi natanggap. ako, kahit 19 pa lang ako at nag aaral pa, tinanggap nila.... hindi naman sa pag mamayabang, pero isa sa mga factors na kinonsider nila sa pag tanggap sa akin is mapuan ako. at ang mapuan ay kilala bilang masipag at matalino. biruin niyo, graduating ako nung nag work ako dun. graveyard shift ako tapos after ng work, papasok ako sa school kasi mei UNIX subject pa ako. plus, hindi ka basta basta i-ddeploy hanggat di mo pa napapag aralan ng todo yung product nila....

i also worked as TSR sa peoplesupport. sila naman, tinanggap nila ako kasi galing akong parlance, which is known for giving an excellent training sa mga agents nila...

so you see, hindi madali ang call center work. hindi rin siya pang bobo nor pang tamad. kailangan din ng utak diyan! minsan diskarte!

Di naman talaga masama na mag-call center. Malaki nga din ang respeto ko sa mga taong nagtratrabaho dyan. Ibang klase din yung hirap at dedikasyon nila sa trabahong yan. Yun nga lang nalulungkot ako kapag nakikita kong dyan nahahantong yung mga nag-aral ng Engineering, Architecture, Medicine, law at kung ano-ano pa. Nakakapanghinayang din kasi na mag-aaral at magtatapos sila ng ilang taon sa colleger tapos hindi naman pala nila magagagamit sa magiging trabaho nila yung halos kabuuan ng mga itinuro sa kanila sa eskwela (kahit pa yung mga tinatawag nating TSR). Tsaka di naman talaga iyan ang dapat nilang career path.

well... choice naman nila yun eh... dun nga pumapasok yung tanong na:

san ka mas mag eenjoy at magiging productive? sa work mo na maliit ang sweldo pero yun ang tinapos mo o dun sa malaki ang sweldo pero di naman related sa course mo?

Hehe. May punto ka dyan, ate. Pero syempre ayan ay para dun po sa mga taong talagang napipilitang pumili dyan sa dalawang choices na sinabi mo. Meron naman kasing trabaho dyan na malaki na ang sweldo at related naman sa tinapos na kurso.

Depende din yan sa depinisyon ng pagiging "masaya" at "productive." Kung sweldo lang naman kasi ang batayan ng isang tao para dyan sa dalawang eh talagang magiging masaya at productive sila sa pagtratrabaho sa mga call center.

depende kung saan mo target mag settle. sa U.S. indemand ang IT. projection hanggang mga 2011 magiging mataas pa din ang demand sa IT.

network engineers po! try nyo magtake ng cisco for sure in demand kau after nyo maging CCNA. ( though I myself didn't finish CISCO) oh well! gud lak na lang sa mga careers!

Well, marami-rami narin akong kilala na nag-eenjoy sa laki ng sahod sa call centers, pro after ilang months, they get bored dhil pare-pareho nlng ang gnagawa nila gabi gabi and according to them sobrang nakakasawa na! And eventually hahanapin na din nila ung work na related sa tinapos nilang course.

Basta para sakin kung san ka masaya dun ka. Maliit man o malaki ang sweldo.

Call center ang indemand e.. but i think di po siya pangmatagalan. A friend of mine is one good example, kasi pumasok siya sa call center, after one month umalis na siya.. nakakabato daw..

Fortunately nakahanap uli siya ng isa pang job.. call center uli...

Sa ating bansa, engineering pa rin ang in demand. Sa ating bansa, nagbo-boom na ang industry ng construction at iba't ibang klase ng engineering related jobs ngayon at may malaking kakulangan sa bilang ng mga engineers.

IT, in demand din yan ngayon pero parang hindi na magtatagal at masosobrahan na tayo ng supply ng mga IT specialists.
